Ixigo Taps Fintech Partnership to Scale Flights Beyond Regional Stronghold

Travel brands like Ixigo know that they have maximized the reach within their own audience. Partnerships are now the fastest way to plug into new customers.
Online travel company Ixigo has partnered with fintech company Cred to power flight bookings for its newly-launched Cred IndusInd Bank RuPay Credit Card. The partnership will allow the cardholders to book flights within Cred’s own ecosystem, and the booking experience will be supported by Ixigo’s flight inventory and technology.
“This collaboration strengthens Ixigo’s vision of creating a connected, convenient, and digital-first travel ecosystem for Indian consumers,” the company said in a statement.
According to Ixigo’s SVP for Flight & Hotel Business Nitin Gurha, this collaboration will help Ixigo expand its flight segment further by tapping into Cred’s premium customer base.
Ixigo has been scaling its flight business as it looks to harness its stronghold in the regional Indian market.
