Apple-compatible, iPod friendly alarm clocks may once have dominated hotel rooms, but Apple now is facing increased competition from Samsung not only in the consumer sphere but also in the hotel business.
While some hotels, like Vancouver’s trendy Opus Hotel and Starwood’s Aloft Cupertino, remain loyal to Apple by offering guests iPhones and Apple TVs, others like the Dutch hotel chain citizenM have opted to provide Samsung tablets and not iPads to hotel guests.
The Radisson Blu at the Mall of America in Minneapolis has equipped its guestrooms with Samsung TVs and a Samsung content management product.
