Adani Takes on Airport Aggregators With Loyalty, Lounge Sales

Skift Take

With everyone wanting a piece of the travel surge in India, airport operators are no longer relying only on businesses' marketing for their revenue. Adani's digital initiatives aim to drive revenue by directly engaging and encouraging passengers to spend more at airports.

Adani Digital Labs (ADL) has rolled out a set of digital initiatives to improve the passenger experience across its airports. The package includes a redesigned Adani OneApp, a new loyalty program called Adani Rewards, and a digital lounge-booking service.

Through these features, passengers can book lounges, browse duty-free catalogues, get deliveries at the gate, place multi-cart orders, reserve parking, track flight status in real time, and access high-speed Wi-Fi.

Adani Rewards, which the company says is India’s first airport-specific loyalty program, will cover food and beverage, retail, duty-free, parking, and meet-and-greet services. The program will operate independently of airline choice or ticket class.

ADL has also opened a 150-seat tech hub in Ahmedabad to drive localized travel innovation.
