Speaking to Skift in Hong Kong, Ronald Lam said substantial fleet growth is on the way, but the group isn’t interested in smaller aircraft – here’s why.
The Cathay Group is firmly in fleet expansion mode with orders pending for dozens of new aircraft. These range from the giant Boeing 777-9 for flag carrier Cathay Pacific to Airbus narrowbodies for low-cost operator HK Express. But there are limits to the ramp-up.
