The Transport App helps users find the closest public transportation and, although useful, won't compete in the local travel field unless they roll it out to Android or iOS devices.

Starting life as a download from Nokia’s Beta Labs, the latest version of Nokia Transport — version 2.1.0.0 — has shed its beta tag and is now rolling out publicly on the Windows Phone Marketplace, providing Lumia handset owners with a number of new features.

If you’ve used Nokia Transport before, you will notice that the new update adds more travel options, including routes and departure times in more than 100 cities around the world. Route options are also available in 450+ cities without timetables, but Nokia is continually working on improving the scope of its service.
