Delta Expands Travel Benefits on Amex Cards, Holds Fees Steady

Delta is not hiking fees on its credit cards even as its competitors continue to increase annual fees and roll out premium travel credit cards in an increasingly saturated market.

Delta Air Lines said Thursday it is expanding travel benefits offered in its co-branded credit card portfolio with American Express — and it is not increasing any annual fees. 

The new benefits include:

Complimentary second checked bag on domestic flights and regional routes for basic Delta. SkyMiles Gold, Platinum, and Reserve customers, along with reserve Consumer and Business cardholders.  Delta SkyMiles Gold and Business card members will receive a $120 annual rideshare credit.  Companion certificates can be redeemed for Delta Vacations packages.
