The same forces weighing on U.S. travel are hitting Las Vegas especially hard.

Las Vegas tourism suffered its worst year since the pandemic in 2025, with visitor arrivals dropping 7.5% — the sharpest decline outside a pandemic year since the city started keeping records in 1970.

The city drew about 3.1 million visitors last year, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. Las Vegas' hotel industry also experienced declines in 2025, with the city's annual hotel occupancy down 3.3 percentage points and its average daily rates dropping 5%.
