Amtrak returns to New York City five days after service was suspended

Amtrak is refunding tickets for passengers who no longer want to visit New York this weekend, and its service from NYC to DC is being used heavily by New Yorkers travelling south to power.
Amtrak says it is resuming service between New York City and Boston Friday. There has been no service between city and points north since the region was walloped by Superstorm Sandy.
Limited service between New York City and points south resumed Thursday. Amtrak president Joseph Boardman said Washington-to-New York service will be available Friday.
