Series by Marriott Goes Live in India: What the Rollout Looks Like and Why it Matters

Marriott’s newest global brand is getting its first real test in India as it mixes global muscle with local flavour. The company is moving faster than expected to bring a large portfolio of Fern hotels into its system.

Marriott International on Thursday announced the global debut of its newest brand, Series by Marriott, highlighted by the first major rollout of 26 Fern Hotels and Resorts properties, now live on Marriott.com as part of the brand’s official launch.

This initial phase adds more than 1,900 rooms, many in cities where Marriott previously had no presence, including Bodhgaya, Dharampur, Solapur, Rajkot, Bhiwandi, and Daman.

While Thursday marks the formal announcement and significant expansion, the rollout actually began earlier. In the first week of November, three Fern hotels quietly went live on the Marriott website, effectively making India the launch market for Series by Marriott. The momentum continued last week with the addition of two Fern hotels in the U.S., extending the brand’s early footprint beyond India.
