At the Skift Global Forum, CEO Ritesh Agarwal spoke about everything from Prism's plans for Motel 6 to India's importance to global tourism.

At the Skift Global Forum on Wednesday, Oyo-parent Prism’s Founder and Group CEO Ritesh Agarwal shared that the company is now largely an India-U.S. enterprise. “We, of course, have business in Europe and Southeast Asia, but we are predominantly an India-U.S. company at this point of time,” he said. 

Despite this, the company, which is now again considering an IPO, will not be listing in the U.S. Speaking with Skift CEO and Founder Rafat Ali, Agarwal said, “We’re very proud being an Indian multinational.” Adding that Prism is thankful for the “great business” it has in the U.S., he said that they started in India. “India still remains sort of our key heritage and our sort of experimentation zone where we try and launch new products, make them successful, and then expand them overseas.” 

The far-ranging conversation talked about Prism’s transformation of U.S.-based hospitality brand Motel 6, which it acquired last December. Agarwal
