Uber announced Thursday that it is expanding its shuttle service in New York to JFK, months after it launched rides to LaGuardia Airport.

The service will shuttle passengers from Manhattan and Brooklyn to JFK Terminals 4 and 5, and Uber is also launching a promo where one-way shuttle rides to JFK and LaGuardia will cost $10 a seat until April 30.

Uber started its shuttle service in New York in October, describing the launch in LaGuardia as “successful.”

The shuttle service provides travelers a more affordable option to reach New York area airports, where rideshare options can sometimes cost upwards of $100.

JFK has the AirTrain, which is a popular public transportation option to reach the airport, but coordinating subway and bus times from Manhattan and Brooklyn to the AirTrain can be difficult for some travelers.

LaGuardia already offers a shuttle service to its airport, but these shuttles can often take a lot longer than a car and many travelers are not familiar with the option.

The vehicles can fit up to 14 passengers, and each rider is allowed a personal item and a carry-on or checked bag. Rides can be booked between seven days or two minutes before a shuttle departs.

Here is where the Uber shuttle will offer rides to JFK:

  • Port Authority Terminal
  • Grand Central
  • Chinatown — corner of Canal Street and Lafayette Street
  • Atlantic Terminal — corner of Hanson Place and Ashland Place

Uber said it is also discussing launching a shuttle service to Boston Logan International Airport with the Massachusetts Port Authority.

Following the promotion, Uber said shuttle rides to and from LaGuardia and JFK will cost $20 and $25, respectively.

The rideshare app also has a shuttle service in Egypt, India, Brazil and Mexico.

The shuttles can be booked through Uber’s app. When the shuttle arrives, customers will receive a QR code and a unique pin validated by the driver.
