The hospitality sector has been one of the warmest for startup funding so far this year and this past week was no exception to that trend.

weekly_startup_fundingEach week we create a roundup of travel startups that have received or announced funding that week. The total amount raised this week among companies we tracked was a little more than $13.8 million.

Here are four companies that announced they raised funding this week and see previous roundups here.

>>Fabhotels raised an $8 million Series A round from new investors Accel, Mohandas Pai, Qualcomm Ventures and RB Investments bringing the Gurgaon, India-based startup’s total funding to $10.25 million.

As an online travel agency for hotels in India, Fabhotels offers hotel rooms in more than 65 hotels in 15 Indian cities. It also has about 6,000 verified reviews so far and was founded in 2015.

>>Travelyaari raised a $3 million venture round from new investors Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship, Bennett Coleman and Co Ltd and GVFL Limited. This brings the Amedabad, India-based startup’s total funding to more than $3 million though a previous seed round was undisclosed.

Travelyaari is a booking site for bus travel in India but also sells tours and activities as a secondary business.

>>Attendify raised a $1.7 million seed round from new investor Digital Future bringing the San Francisco-based startup’s total funding to $1.9 million.

Attendify is a mobile app enabling event companies to create guidebook apps for attendees to view profiles, messages, photos and network. It’s essentially an all-in-one event management solution for event planners, and was founded in 2011.

>>Bidroom raised a $1.13 million seed round from from an undisclosed investor and this is the London-based startup’s first funding round.

The two-year-old startup is a hotel booking site that searches for the lowest available direct booking rates. It claims to save guests five percent on every booking and charges hotels a lower commission rate to make their rooms available on the site.
