Two of the four Atlantic City casinos that shut down in 2014 are about to reopen, but they are going about it in two very different ways.
Revel and the Showboat recently announced they are reopening.
Revel will have a casino, while Showboat is reopening as a non-gambling hotel. By mid-July, both should be up and running, although Revel’s casino will not be open until the end of August at the earliest.
Showboat owner Bart Blatstein is taking the traditional path, publicizing his project and holding a job fair to hire workers.
Revel owner Glenn Straub is outsourcing most of the operation, and still won’t even say what the new name of the project is, just a few days away from its opening next Wednesday.
