>>Via raised a $100 million Series C round from new investors 83North, C4 Ventures, Ervington Investments and Poalim Capital Markets and existing investors Pitango Venture Capital, Expansion Venture Capital and Hearst Ventures, bringing the New York City-based startup’s total funding to $137 million.

Via is an on-demand ride-share app using luxury SUV vehicles. Users share rides with other passengers and pay $5 plus tax for rides in Manhattan, but rides are only available during certain hours. The company has launched in New York City and Chicago with plans to expand to more cities this year.

>>Evaneos raised a $21 million Series C round from new investors Serena Capital, Fonds Ambition Numérique, ISAI, and existing investor XAnge, bringing the Paris, France-based startup’s total funding to $26 million.

Evaneos connects travelers with local travel agents for customized trip-planning. Since 2009 about 120,000 travelers from 30 different countries have completed a tailor-made trip created by one of Evaneos’ local partner agencies. The company’s 650 partner agencies operate locally in 150 countries worldwide and it has about 400,000 members.
