Video: Wyndham's CMO on the Unseen Power of Middle America

Middle America isn't sexy, but it's an enormous part of the travel sector and one in which there are multiple opportunities to innovate.

Josh Lesnick, chief marketing officer at Wyndham Hotel Group, spoke at the Skift Global Forum about the importance of middle America that travel brands ignore.

Lesnick's talk explored the needs of consumers outside of big cities and outside of the luxury sector — a comfortable majority of U.S. travelers. Lesnick discussed the multiple categories within the economy space and identified additional opportunities within the sector. In addition, he pointed at brands inside and out of travel — from Ikea to Target to Jet Blue — that he feels value the delivery of value to their customers.
