For people who don't fly a particular airline very often, the in-flight entertainment lineup can be a wildcard and hard to predict. Iberia takes the mystery out of its in-flight entertainment options with an app that details all of the offerings before the flight,

The Iberia On Board app shows passengers precisely what in-flight entertainment will be available on upcoming flights, including the entire movie lineup replete with trailers.

Passengers can view upcoming movies by category or just follow Iberia’s recommendations, called “Ibera suggests.”

In addition to movies, passengers can view the TV lineup, music by genre, and the app’s Iberia For Kids section details movies and music available for younger passengers.

The app takes the mystery out of the in-flight entertainment lineup so travelers can decide whether they’ll rely on the airline-supplied content during the flight or bring their own, perhaps pre-downloading a movie from iTunes or bringing a book or newspaper.

Iberia debuted Iberia On Board in November, and officially launched an updated version of it in recent weeks. An Android version of the app was updated in April, but the iTunes app hasn’t been updated as of this writing since November.

IFE Services, a unit of Global Eagle Entertainment, developed the free app for Iberia.
