The first images of anew ad campaign touting the airline’s new A321 aircraft were released this week. The plane flies between Los Angeles and New York and offers a coach, business, and first class cabin.
The ads put images of current stars Neil Patrick Harris and Julianna Margulies alongside images of yestyear darlings Grace Kelly and Gregory Peck.
“During their research, the advertising team discovered many stunning images of some of American’s most famous customers and decided to link the glamour of American’s first transcontinental flights to the style and level of service that American is bringing back to a new generation,” explains a company spokesperson.
The only color seen in each ad is American Airlines’ new tail and logo.
The campaign started this week with a digital component following in the first week of March.
The ads, created by New York marketing agency McCann, will appear in a variety of entertainment, lifestyle, tech, and finance publications.
