Airlines have discovered the power of YouTube videos, at least the good ones that are sharable, and are now trying to outdo one another with more and more creative — and some outlandish — ideas. Air New Zealand, with its quirky and funny safety videos, has mastered the art. Turkish Airlines and Emirates have also been great at it, using lavishly produced ads to do the work for them in social media.

Now aviation marketing consultancy Simpliflying has come up with its list of top 10 airline YouTube videos and the lessons to be learned from them. It created a handy Slideshare presentation listing these, and the short takeaways on each.
