These new terms are out there to get Airbnb ready to go legit. But there's still much work to do, including making hosts feel comfortable as the service goes mainstream.
Where once in-flight Wi-Fi was an insane perk that was hard to imagine (way back in 2008), it's now become so expected that both airlines and providers are in a race to provide the fastest -- if not the cheapest -- connection.
Finnair is the wildcard here. While not as big as BA, it's moves to become the preferred European carrier to Asia -- especially growing business centers in China -- may end up being the key to its long-term success.
For a company with few physical assets, Airbnb demands a high value for its listings. But this value reveals more about how the lodging economy is evolving more than it tells us about what the sharing economy leader is really worth.
