As strange as it is that a tweet from a Rabbi would help expose the inner workings of a Presidential administration, it's even stranger that a plan to thoroughly disrupt international travel to the U.S. could be in the works.

While the growth in summer online travel spending will decline in the U.S. this year compared to 2016, it's not all doom and gloom for the U.S. travel industry.

While emerging economies in Asia and Africa will see the greatest business travel increase over the next decade, according to WTTC forecasts, the U.S. and China will remain the largest global business travel markets.

Sadly, it seems the TSA is still far away from recognizing that its policy requiring travelers to assume a gender when passing through security causes distress to many members of the LGBTQ community.

Even if its growth has slowed gradually, Uber still has a huge advantage over its rivals in corporate travel. Its global scale, as well, bodes well for Uber continuing to grow as an option for international business travelers.

Big corporate travel players are finding solutions to improve the experience for their travelers. American Express Global Business Travel’s acquisition of booking tech company KDS last year shows one way forward.

Delta says it's using basic economy fares to help better differentiate its products. The jury is still out on whether it will help them compete on routes where they face low-cost competitors.

It's not a surprise that Skyscanner is looking to Chinese trends as it becomes a part of Ctrip. The storefront model it has outlined, however, is getting somewhat of a cold reception from competitors.

International travel to the U.S. remained strong in February, probably because travelers still went on trips they had planned months in advance. Domestic business travel, however, has begun to decrease.

As more travelers have realized that dining is truly an experience in its own right, more restaurants and travel companies are pursuing innovation and creating unique dining experiences around the world.
