Ryanair abandons transatlantic flights and pornographic promises

Skift Take

Well, then. CEO Michael O'Leary does have a certain je ne sais quoi when it comes to saying offensive things that break new ground. And this method gets much more press than, say, Delta's CEO does when he says particular routes are out of the question for the foreseeable future.

Ryanair has bailed out of any plans for cheap trans Atlantic flights, and in the process, ‘forgotten’ its CEO Michael O’Leary’s long standing promise that they would include free blow jobs for higher paying customers.

There is no reference to either O’Leary or his notorious promise given at a German press conference in 2008 in the latest, and it seems final, story about Ryanair flying between Europe and the U.S.

From Independent.ie:

Air passengers hoping for cheaper fares to the US have been dealt a blow after Ryanair signalled it will not be entering the transatlantic market.

Less than a week after signing a €11.7bn deal with Boeing to deliver 175 new aircraft to its fleet, Ryanair has ruled out flights to North America.

The company's deputy chief executive, Michael Cawley, said Ryanair's business model was not suited to the long-haul market.
