Norwegian Cruise Lines says it's skipping Egypt through 2015

Skift Take

After its third related announcement, Norwegian can go ahead and drop Egypt from its itineraries indefinitely while allowing the Mediterranean destinations that take its place to celebrate their upcoming boost in families and grannies.

Norwegian Cruise Line's recent decision to drop Egypt from Mediterranean sailings in 2013 and early 2014 is being extended to voyages through early 2015.

Norwegian today announced the Norwegian Jade would continue sailing a new, 10-night Eastern Mediterranean itinerary out of Civitavecchia, Italy that does not include a stop in Egypt through at least April 2015. The new itinerary features stops in Katakolon and Piraeus, Greece; Izmir and Istanbul, Turkey; and Naples, Italy.
