Expedia’s B2B Engine Speeds Up as AI Moves Intensify

Expedia’s B2B engine is proving the partner model works. The catch: It is still the smaller business, and AI is not yet big enough to change that.
Expedia Group's B2B segment has now outpaced its consumer brands for several consecutive quarters — and the first quarter was no exception.
Results released Thursday show why Expedia is leaning harder into that model. Its B2B segment posted 22% bookings growth in the first quarter, more than double the 10% growth in consumer bookings. B2B revenue grew 25%.
But Expedia’s consumer business is still far larger, at $24.8 billion in bookings versus B2B’s $10.7 billion.
That B2B strategy got a new endorsement in a deal with Uber, which signed an exclusive hotel partnership with Expedia j
