Disney is increasingly a travel company, with parks and experiences accounting for the majority of profits.

Disney said Tuesday it has appointed Josh D’Amaro, the head of its Parks and Experiences division, as its new CEO, replacing longtime chief Bob Iger.

D’Amaro, who joined Disney in 1998 and has led Parks and Experiences since 2020, comes to the role after overseeing the company’s most important growth engine. The division has become increasingly central to Disney’s growth.
