We are excited to announce that Skift Global Forum — the flagship global conference on the business of travel — will take place as an online global conference this year, on Sep 21-23, live on U.S. ET timezone and on-demand by next day to view anytime.
Each year, SGF brings together the top CEOs and leaders in travel to discuss what’s next and how to drive the industry forward. We’re excited to bring this event online in 2020, making it accessible to a global audience, live on Eastern Timezone and on-demand the day after onwards.
This year, we have our Doors Wide Open for a beleaguered industry that needs it, and our ticket pricing reflects our effort to make it affordable for the widest possible industry participation.
This Year’s Theme
Understanding what 2021 and beyond will look like for travel in pandemic-world, our global theme for this year’s forum will be: “The Decade Ahead: Safeguarding Travel’s Future.” These are clearly very difficult times for the world’s most consequential industry, and it is more important than ever for travel’s top CEOs and most creative thinkers in travel to share how they are addressing the steep challenges ahead. Speakers from all sectors of the industry — airlines, hotels, online travel, destinations, and more — will join Skift editors via video for frank and transparent conversations on their company’s recovery, the latest consumer sentiments, and their strategies on creating a more resilient future for travel.
We will present several days of talks, interactive networking, breakout sessions, and more. Here are just a few speakers already slated to join us in September, with many more to come:
- Sébastien Bazin – Chairman and CEO, Accor
- Glenn Fogel – CEO and President, Booking Holdings
- Keith Barr – CEO, IHG
- James Thornton – CEO, Intrepid Travel
- Sven-Olof Lindblad – CEO, Lindblad Expeditions
- Arne Sorenson – President and CEO, Marriott International
- Ritesh Agarwal – Founder and CEO, OYO Rooms
- Jennifer Wilson-Buttigieg – Co-Owner and Co-President, Valerie Wilson Travel
