Announcing Skift Forum Europe 2020 as a Virtual Conference

Skift Take

The global Covid-19 crisis is one of the greatest challenges the travel industry has ever faced. As we enter a new phase of recovery planning, Skift will present its tentpole European event -- Skift Forum Europe -- as an online conference to provide a rapid response and a platform for travel leaders to share ideas on June 30.

SKIFT FORUM EUROPE | JUNE 30 | VIRTUAL CONFERENCE | THE DECADE AHEAD: SAFEGUARDING TRAVEL’S FUTURE

For the last three years, Skift Forum Europe brings together the top CEOs and leaders to discuss what’s next and how to drive the industry forward. This year, we were really looking forward to bring the event to Madrid in March, however that quickly became an impossibility with the rise of Covid-19 a few months ago.

Today we are announcing that, with a goal of providing a rapid response and educational resource to the industry, Skift Forum Europe 2020 will take place via an online video platform on June 30, featuring travel leaders sharing their lessons learned, strategic thinking, and perspectives on finding new growth.

This Year’s Theme

With an eye on travel’s “Great Return,” our global theme for this Forum will be: “The Decade Ahead: Safeguarding Travel’s Future.”  With the global Covid-19 crisis decimating the travel industry, it is presenting steep challenges for Europe, the world’s most strategic tourism destination and its unique tourism economies.  The speakers and. talks we will feature throughout this online event will focus on European travel’s new phase of recovery planning, an urgent need exists for collaboration between leaders and promote transparency of the best ideas in response to the staggering economic impact of this crisis.

This June, join us as Skift Forum Europe presents frank conversations on what Europe needs now to find its path forward, rebuild its operations, and create resilience for the future.
