The only frustrating thing about listening to Orson is hearing all the good ideas that get left on the cutting room floor.

Ben Orson, Managing Director of JPA Design, spoke earlier last month at the Skift Global Forum.

At JPA and elsewhere Orson has been instrumental in the development of airlines’ first and business class offerings, as well as lounges, livery, uniforms and brand development.

Orson spoke about the unique challenges as well as benefits of creating airplane cabins. “When we developed the Singapore Airlines Business Class – launched in 2006–we were able to create something enduring which would look and feel special for many years, and has a value that remains relevant and can be built upon,” Orson told Skift earlier this year.

At the Forum, he told the audience “In 2020, there will be a high-density first class airline cabin.”

Orson spoke with Atmosphere Research Group’s Henry Harteveldt about creating the perfect airline cabin space. Their discussion is in full, below:
