Several newbies including "Airport 24/7: Miami" made their way to a second round, while incumbents "Ghost Adventures" and "Bizarre Foods America" head into their eighth season.
Scripps Networks Interactive-owned Travel Channel is bringing back eight of its primetime series for 2013.
Returning series include Dangerous Grounds, which comes back for a second season. Other series coming back to Travel Channel include Airport 24/7: Miami…Baggage Battles…Ghost Adventures…Bizarre Foods America with Andrew Zimmern…Hotel Impossible.
“As we work towards refreshing our programming line-up – away from the travelogues and more towards a lean forward experience – we plan to continue to break free from the traditional ideology behind travel programming, and bring our audience a diverse array of entertainment through the many unique perspectives of our travel experts and enthusiasts,” said Travel Channel president Laureen Ong in a statement.
