Heathrow brings Hyde Park to the airport with new pop-up park

Skift Take

Heathrow has been ahead of the curve in adjusting food options for flyers looking for healthier options and their newest initiative is a fun way to physically represent the atmosphere its aiming to create.

London Heathrow Airport has opened a pop-up park in Terminal 5 designed to promote the airport’s healthy dining offers and give passengers a relaxing space to de-stress.

The initiative follows research conducted by the airport showing that British people take a third of their annual holiday allowance – around eight days a year – to relax into their holiday, while more than one in ten (11%) are never able to fully switch off while away.

Inspired by this insight and growing passenger demand for healthier options, the initiative serves to showcase Heathrow’s food & beverage offer, making passengers aware of the various healthy dining options, even when the pop-up park is no longer present.
