The mobile feature comes one month after desktop biking directions were introduced, but is only available in 10 countries, presumably where there is the highest mileage of bike trails.

Google Maps is getting some new features for cyclists as the company crosses the 500,000 kilometer milestone (actually 530,000; about 330,000 miles) for cycling routes (dedicated bike trails and bike-friendly roadways) in its system. The changes add mobile biking directions in Google Maps for Android in the 10 countries where Google launched desktop biking directions last month, as well as hill-averse turn-by-turn biking navigation (with voice) in every country with biking directions.
