- Tourism Australia signs deal with China Travel Service to boost visitors: TA has signed a 3 year agreement with China's state-owned enterprise representing the tourism industry, China Travel Service, to promote travel Down Under to its rapidly growing middle classes, particularly those living in "secondary cities".
- Chinese visitors now second largest nationality in New Zealand: The rise of China as New Zealand's second largest tourism market and the way Chinese visitors spend their money is changing the New Zealand tourism industry, according to the New Zealand government 2012 Yearbook...China overtook Britain last year to come second to Australia.
- Chinese Tourists Drive Hong Kong Hotel Boom: Despite increases in visitors from China, growth in the Hong Kong hotel industry has been tempered by a decline in tourists from the U.S. and the rest of Asia. Tourism saw a temporary boon in 2011 as visitors from Japan switched to Hong Kong following the earthquake.
- Samoa negotiates launching direct flights from China: Samoa is negotiating to launch direct flights to and from China in a bid to boost its country’s tourism...At the moment Chinese tourists have to fly via Sydney, Auckland, or Fiji to Samoa.
