Riyadh Air Gets Green Light to Operate in U.S.

Riyadh Air CEO Tony Douglas has previously said he wants the carrier to have a presence on the Eastern Seaboard of the U.S.
Riyadh Air received approval from the Department of Transportation to operate flights in the U.S., the agency said Tuesday.
“We tentatively find and conclude that the public interest warrants granting the applicant a foreign air carrier permit,” the DOT order read. The carrier had applied to operate flights between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia on May 5.
