Air Canada CEO to Retire as Backlash to LaGuardia Crash Response Continues

Michael Rousseau's struggles with the French language are nothing new, but they've become a major distraction for Air Canada in the aftermath of the deadly crash at LaGuardia Airport.
Air Canada CEO Michael Rousseau will step down from the top spot by the end of the third quarter this year, the company announced Monday.
The carrier’s board of directors said it has been working on finding a potential successor to Rousseau for more than two years through a “a comprehensive internal development program for high potential executives.”
The company also kicked off an external search for a new CEO in January.
