Alaska Airlines adds flights to mainland U.S. and improves intra-state fleet

Skift Take

Alaska’s growth is grounded in its role as the primary transport across the state, but it’s prospered by making smart calculated expansions to the mainland while remaining on time.

Alaska Airlines will add two nonstop routes between Anchorage and the mainland USA, with service to both Phoenix and Las Vegas starting in mid-December.

Alaska Airlines' Phoenix service will begin Dec. 18, featuring one round-trip flight each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The Las Vegas route will start Dec. 19, also with three weekly flights (one round-trip flight each Thursday, Friday Sunday).

Alaska Air touted the warm-weather connections for residents in the USA's northernmost state.
