Henri Giscard d’Estaing has led the French tourism group since 2002 and through its sale to Chinese owners Fosun International in 2015.

Club Med President Henri Giscard d’Estaing said Wednesday in a handwritten letter to employees that Fosun, the tourism group’s main shareholder, has decided to appoint a new president.

UPDATE: Fosun has appointed Stéphane Maquaire, an executive from outside the industry, to replace Henri Giscard d'Estaing as CEO of Club Med, according to a report Thursday by La Lettre.
