JetBlue is very tardy, but finally working on mobile boarding passes

JetBlue has been lagging in the mobile arena, and is therefore playing catch-up on mobile boarding passes and Apple Passbook, which competitors introduced months ago.

JetBlue is working on offering mobile boarding passes. This could include its own mobile boarding pass program as well as an integration with Apple’s Passbook app, an official said.

Jonathan Stephen, who heads JetBlue's mobile efforts, also said last week during the Mobile Marketer's Mobile FirstLook: Strategy 2013 conference that while the airline's current focus in mobile is on discovery, the number of consumers using the medium to book flights is increasing.
