Westin rolls out exercise outfits to all its properties

Skift Take

The ease of traveling without exercise clothing yet still being able to spend some time in the gym is the definition of luxury for some, and Westin's move to make it a promise at all its properties is enough to effect bookings.

In a partnership with New Balance, Westin is lending guests the running and fitness brand’s shoes, shorts and shirts — along with capri pants and jog bras for women. Borrowing the gear costs $5, and includes a new pair of socks for guests to keep that retail for about $6.

Originating as a pilot program at 10 properties in 2010 (including Boston, Berlin, and Tokyo), the lending program grew to include all 118 properties in North America in March 2012, and is now being introduced across the chain internationally, for a total of about 190 properties.
