Bipartisan lawmakers introduced legislation on Wednesday that would restore funding to Brand USA ahead of major tourism events like the 2026 World Cup and 2028 Summer Olympics.
Under the “Visit USA Act,” the country’s destination marketing organization would be eligible for up to $100 million in federal matching funds each year. Brand USA’s federal funding was slashed 80% by the budget law enacted this summer, with funding capped at $20 million.
