The flight attendants union said United’s offer did not go far enough and that it would survey members on what issues they would like to see resolved in a new contract.
United Airlines flight attendants on Tuesday rejected the carrier’s contract offer, which had included pay raises of as much as 27%.
The airline had presented flight attendants with an offer in June, which had also included other benefits such as boarding pay, improved healthcare options, and other benefits. United’s chapter of the Association of Flight Attendants said that 92% of eligible voters in the union had cast ballots and 71% voted against ratifying the agreement.
