San Francisco is the largest city near Instagram’s headquarters in Menlo Park, CA. With so many tech companies and startups located in SF, there are hashtags galore.
The most frequently Instagrammed cities of 2013 are mostly located in the United States and Brazil. As part of an annual review, the photo-sharing app released a list of the 10 most photographed cities throughout the year.
Six of the top ten cities are located in the U.S., two are in Brazil, and one in each Thailand and the UK. The cities are home to the 10 most Instagrammed locations including malls, sports stadiums, and parks.
It’s been a big week for social media sites sharing information about user behavior. Earlier, Facebook shared the most checked-in travel sights in the U.S. and abroad, Twitter shared its most popular photo posts, and Foursquare shares its most checked into places.
