Trip-planning site and app MyGola raised $1.5 million in funding in a Series A round, and plans to use the money to expand its presence and build a team in the U.S.
Helion Venture Partners (MakeMyTrip, Redbus) led the round, and existing investor Blumberg Capital (Hootsuite) participated. MyGola has now raised $2.5 million in total funding.
MyGola pivoted last year from a travel concierge service into a do-it-yourself trip-planner, and its platform now covers more than 20,000 destinations.
With the Series A round, Ashish Gupta of Helion joins the MyGola board.
In a blog post about the funding announcement, MyGola points to its differentiation.
