Flights to New York, Boston and Seattle were among the more than 200 flights canceled by Lufthansa today as the carrier’s flight attendants went on strike.

Germany’s biggest carrier scrapped the flights this morning after about 1,000 attendants walked off job.

In an effort to blunt the impact of the cancellations, Lufthansa made most of its cancellations on short and medium-length routes where it flies multiple times a day.
