Tourism websites are already woefully underutilized by travelers and Bluebridge has its work cut out to create app products people probably aren't banging the door down for.

Each week we create a roundup of travel startups that have received or announced funding that week. The total amount raised this week was about $5.5 million.

Here are two companies that announced they raised funding this week, listed in order by the highest amount raised. See previous roundups here.

>>Yamsafer raised a $3.5 million Series B round from new investor Global Founders Capital and existing investor Sadara Ventures bringing the Ramalhal, Portugal-based startup’s total funding to $4.5 million.

Yamsafer is a hotel booking site for the Middle East and currently has 2,500 hotels available in 16 countries and targets the Arabic-speaking market.

>>Bluebridge raised a $2 million Series A round from new investors Cultivation Capital and Allos Ventures bringing the Fishers, Indiana-based startup’s total funding to $3 million.

Founded in 2011, Bluebridge is an app developer for convention and visitors bureaus and the company uses the term “mobile-apps-as-a-service” to describe its functions which include building, deploying and managing mobile iOS and Android apps. The company has created apps for 17 tourism organizations including Visit Gainesville, Visit Roane County and Visit Vallejo California.

Bluebridge is also launching a mobile app studio that will allow organizations to update and edit their app content in real-time with a drag-and-drop interface.
