The number one most Instagrammed place in the world is the Siam Paragon (สยามพารากอน) shopping mall in Bangkok, Thailand.

Times Square in New York City is the second most Instagrammed place in the world. A record 54.3 million tourists visited NYC in 2013.

Disneyland in California, pictured here, shows up on Instagram more often than Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

The Bellagio Fountains in Las Vegas is the 4th most Instagrammed place in the world.

We’re betting that the Cinderella Castle accounts for a very large percentage of the posts uploaded in Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

The Staples Center in Los Angeles is a hotbed for sports-related Instagram posts.

Central Park is a hot destination even in the winter cold and a top attraction for visitors to NYC.

Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles pops up on Instagram even when its not baseball season. This upload was accompanied with a countdown to the first 2014 game.

Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) in Bangkok, Thailand, was the number one most commonly Instagrammed place in 2012. This year it dropped down to number nine.

New York City’s Highline is a favorite for hipster locals and visitors alike. This mural seen from the park is Instagrammers’ favorite spot.

Instagram today released a list of the 2013 most Instagrammed places around the world. And the top ten list says more about its users than the world’s top destinations.

The list includes two Los Angeles sports stadiums, two Disney parks, three New York City attractions, and two Thai places. The list is rounded out with, what else, a Vegas casino.

It’s a big week for social media sites sharing information about user behavior. Earlier, Facebook shared the most checked-in travel sights in the U.S. and abroad, Twitter shared its most popular photo posts, and Foursquare shares its most checked into places.

The top ten most Instagrammed places of 2013 are below, and shown in the slideshow above:

  1. Siam Paragon (สยามพารากอน) shopping mall, Bangkok, Thailand
  2. Times Square, New York
  3. Disneyland, California
  4. Bellagio Fountains, Las Vegas
  5. Disney World Florida
