Japan and California Top Tumblr's List of the Most Reblogged Places of 2013

Skift Take

The place list isn't a great measure of the most popular travel destinations, because the posts are a mix of landscape, attraction, celebrities, and clothing.

Tumblr's Year in Review was released on December 3 and highlights the top and most reblogged posts on design, food, fashion trends, art, and, of course, places. It's a small peek at the countries and cities that the Internet likes to look at, dream about, and eventually visit.

This is the first year that Tumblr compiled such a list. Tumblr director of product for content and community Danielle Strle explains, "To create all of our year in review categories we looked at the total volume of reblogs per topic and then created top 25 lists per category."
