Room service is a money-losing proposition for many hotels, but it is often among the pleasures of a getaway or a business trip away from home. Will other hotels follow? Probably. Will most hotels retain room service? Definitely.

From it's ridiculously priced yet still awful restaurants to its Euro trash-inspired fashions, Moscow has some fantastic ways to screw over travelers, and its hotels lead the way for many other industries.

Scrapping in-room fine dining may be a result of declining demand for such room service, but it's not something we'll necessarily clink champagne glasses for.
