Japan Airlines is certain its low-cost, long-haul carrier will excel. That’s hard to say, as details are still so sketchy. But the project is intriguing and holds the promise of something fresh in the air. So it’s worth waiting a little while longer for the final reveal.

Introducing a Premium Economy cabin with more room, premium services and seats that slide forward on a sled--avoiding conflict with the back--is a smart choice.

Smart of JAL to use the technology to better position staff and communicate. As wearable tech goes, watches are less creepy than face computers like Google Glass.

Since JAL is just dipping into Twitter now, we'll see how long they keep up with this.
