An increasing number of Americans have started to feel the pinch of increasing travel prices. 34 percent of Americans, 10 percentage points higher than last October, plan to decrease their spending on travel in the next 12 months.

Macau’s Statistics and Census Service said the SAR saw a total of 5,700,339 visitor arrivals in 2022, down 26% year on year. The 2022 figure compares with 7.7 million arrivals in 2021 and a record 39.4 million arrivals in 2019.
