If Amadeus and InterContinental Hotels Group build a new guest reservations system for the "community," will the hotel industry community buy in and introduce the system? That's the hope, anyway.

In partnership with the InterContintinental Hotels Group, Amadeus is trying to build a hotel industry reservations platform. Other players, including Sabre and other hotel groups, will definitely have something to say about that.
When comparing the total CEO compensation of the three major travel distribution companies it is ironic that Luis Maroto, the CEO of the largest and most profitable company of the trio, Madrid-based Amadeus, took home the lowest compensation.
