MCR Hotels to Lead Deal to Take Soho House Private: Report

Skift Take

Soho House has been unprofitable for most years of operation since its founding in London in 1995. But it just posted its third straight quarterly profit.

MCR Hotels is leading a group of investors in a deal to take membership club operator Soho House private for about $1.8 billion, not including debt, The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday.

The deal, which could be announced as early as Monday, would pay about $9 per share for outstanding public stock and end an ongoing battle over the company's future, according to sources who spoke to the Journal. The stock closed Friday at $7.64.
